We offer Blue Cross, Blue Shield (Wellmark) health insurance to any employee regularly workikng 30 or more hours per week after a 60-day waiting period. All enrollments being on the 1st of the following month. Burlington Trailways pays 80% of the employee-only premium. The Company also offers very affordable vision and dental insurance for employees and their families. In addition to medical insurance, we provide FREE employee life insurance!
All full time employees receive 5 days of vacation after the completion of 12 months of service. The longer you stay at Burlington Trailways, the more vacation time you'll receive!
All full time employees receive 4 days of sick/personal time per year (1 day per quarter). Sick/personal days can be used immediately following your 90-day probationary period. These days can be rolled over endlessly if not used.
As a company who specializes in transportation, some departments are open 24/7, thus having to work on holidays. Any employee who works on employer paid holidays will receive holiday pay at 1.5 times their regular rate of pay. At Burlington Trailways, your birthday is considered a paid holiday. Departments that are closed on holidays, receive holiday pay at their regular rate of pay.
We encourage all employees to refer their qualified friends or family for employment. If your referral is hired as a Motorcoach Operator or Mechanic, you will receive a bonus ranging from $50-$200.
Signing Bonus - Motorcoach Operators Only
Any newly hired, full-time Motorcoach Operator is eligible to receive a $1500 signing bonus. This is set to expire on December 31st, 2021 so APPLY NOW!
Safe Driving Incentive - Motorcoach Operators Only
All Motorcoach Operators are eligible to receive a quarterly Safe Driving Incentive Bonus of $.01 per safe mile driven in a motorcoach. Safe miles are miles without chargeable accidents, tickets, contact with law enforcement, etc. Most of our full-time drivers drive 25,000 miles per quarter. That adds up quickly!
Burlington Trailways provides company issued uniforms to all positions that require specific work attire. In addition to getting you started with uniforms, you will be eligible for a uniform allowance each year to replace worn or tattered items.
Free Family Travel Pass
All Burlington Trailways active employees who have completed at least 90 days of service are eligible for a Family Travel Pass. Family members eligible for a Family Travel Pass are employee's spouse, child(ren), step-child(ren), parent, step-parent, grandparent, grandchild(ren) and sibling.
